Increase Self-Confidence with Invisalign® Aligners

See how Invisalign® clear aligners can boost your self-confidence with a straighter, healthier smile — from Grand Rapids orthodontists who care.

Overview

Your smile tells your story before you even say a word. If you find yourself covering your mouth when you laugh, smiling with your lips closed in photos, or feeling self-conscious in professional settings because of your teeth, it may be time for a change. At Armbrecht & Wierenga Orthodontics, our Grand Rapids Invisalign orthodontists are here to help you reclaim that confidence.

How Invisalign® Works

Invisalign treatment uses custom clear aligners to gradually straighten your teeth. After scanning your mouth with our digital iTero® scanner, our doctors use 3D modeling to plan each precise movement of your teeth. That plan is sent to the Invisalign lab, where a full series of custom trays is made just for you. You'll wear your aligners for 22 hours a day, switching to a new set every few weeks as your smile evolves. On average, treatment takes 12–18 months, though every patient's journey is unique. Once treatment is complete, a nighttime retainer keeps your results locked in for the long haul.

The moment your new smile becomes real

Invisalign Compared to Traditional Braces

Many patients who've wanted a straighter smile in the past avoided treatment because they didn't want to deal with metal brackets and wires — especially as adults. Invisalign® offers the same results through a completely different experience:

  • 01

    Nearly Invisible

Unless someone is standing very close, they won't even notice you're in treatment. This is especially meaningful for adult patients who want to project a confident, polished image at work.

  • 02

    Easier Oral Hygiene

Simply remove your aligners to brush and floss as you normally would. No navigating around brackets or wires.

  • 03

    Faster on Average

Most Invisalign patients complete treatment in 12–18 months, compared to 1–3 years for traditional braces (results vary by case complexity).

  • 04

    Comfortable Fit

Smooth plastic edges won't irritate your cheeks the way metal brackets sometimes can.

A Note on Aligner Care

To keep your aligners looking their best (and your treatment on track), clean them at least twice a day — ideally at the same time you brush your teeth. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush, non-abrasive toothpaste, and lukewarm water. Store them in their case when you're not wearing them. A small travel care kit in your bag or pocket makes it easy to keep up on the go.

Your smile shouldn't stand in the way of your self-esteem — it should enhance it.

Every smile we create is one that works as beautifully as it looks — designed for function, health, and confidence that lasts a lifetime.
